Description:
I was inspired by the many beautiful motifs I observed on Germanic folk embroideries while traveling through Switzerland, Germany and Austria. These embroideries were mainly monochromatic in either red or blue, and stitched on course hand-woven linen. The circular nature of many of these motifs, when scattered along a cloth, reminded me of snowflakes. Use this design as an ornament or box top.
Materials Recommended:
40 ct. White Linen or 36ct. Antique White Edinburgh Linen and four colors of Au Ver a Soie Soie d'Alger or DMC floss.
