Description:
Scandinavian style has been a prominent decorating trend
in the recent past. The bold but simple patterns and monochromatic
colors seem to appeal to the yearning for simplicity in our lives. I
wanted to create a line of miniature stockings which looked from afar
like the beautiful knit stockings used in Scandinavian fold costumes
and fit into this new decorating trend. In the knit stockings,
stitches are often skipped to produce a bold pattern that "drips" down
the leg. I have also seen this style similarly executed delicately in
red on white stockings. I hope these pieces bring a smile to your face.
